Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java or Python, ensuring reliability and scalability.

• Architect and implement robust, commercially viable solutions that meet business and user needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and product managers, to deliver products rapidly in a startup setting.
• Write clean, maintainable code, complemented by comprehensive unit tests, ensuring high code quality and functionality even in the absence of dedicated QA resources.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in backend development (excluding internships).
• Strong proficiency in Java or Python, with demonstrable expertise in backend systems.
• A proven track record of designing and deploying commercially successful systems.
• Ability to work in a startup environment, launching MVPs quickly while balancing scalability and quality.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability, with evidence of being a top 1% performer in previous roles.
